This is a consolidated archive version of “New Investment, New Product and a Growing Köseoğlu,” which appeared at two separate addresses in Köseoğlu Akkükürt’s former Knowledge Bank. Its historical context has been clarified. The investment objectives reflect the plans at the time they were first announced and should not be interpreted as statements of current capacity or certification.

Highlights from the archive

  • Köseoğlu’s agriculture-focused production journey developed at its Mersin facility.
  • Trade fairs and field activities in 2013–2014 focused on explaining the relationship between soil and pH.
  • A second facility investment was announced as part of a plan to expand capacity and serve different regions.
  • Needs identified in the field helped lead to the addition of the humic-acid-based Hümak product to the portfolio.

A production focus that began in Mersin

Powdered and liquid sulfur production for agriculture is an important starting point in Köseoğlu Akkükürt’s company history. Operations began in 1993 and helped establish an approach that went beyond supplying a product, considering physical form, application information and field needs together.

The earlier article described products carrying the Köseoğlu AK Kükürt brand at the Mersin facility and the objective of meeting growing demand. In telling that history today, the significance lies in how those investment decisions signaled the company’s direction toward a broader agricultural and industrial portfolio.

Trade fairs and field meetings

Participation in trade fairs in 2013 and the first half of 2014 was described as more than product promotion: these were opportunities to speak directly with farmers about soil pH, lime and how elemental sulfur works. Those conversations brought field questions and application difficulties into the product development process.

The same topics remain relevant today: the outcome of an elemental sulfur application depends on soil analysis, climate, moisture, particle characteristics and the application plan, as well as the product. The main purpose of updating the Knowledge Center is to present earlier experience with clearer sources and appropriately defined technical scope.

The significance of the second facility investment

The archive article announced a planned second facility in the Ankara region and a capacity expansion objective. In subsequent years, the company developed into an organization with two production facilities. For current factory addresses and service information, always refer to the central records on the Contact page.

The decision to invest in a second facility was associated with greater logistical flexibility, access to different regions, continuity of production and the ability to consider export enquiries. The actual scope of company investments and capacity figures is separately verified against current company records before publication.

From field needs to a product: adding Hümak to the portfolio

The earlier article explained that the humic-acid-based Köseoğlu Hümak product was added to the portfolio in response to findings from trade fairs and user discussions. This decision reflected the view that soil organic matter and pH should be managed comprehensively, rather than through a single product.

Current product claims, content percentages and instructions should be published only on the basis of the current label / TDS. Historical content or performance claims have therefore not been repeated in the revised article. The Hümak Humic Acid product page is the main source for current, verified information.

The principle that “soil must endure and remain alive”

The archive article’s most lasting message was that agricultural production should not be considered solely in terms of short-term yield. Soil is a living system whose physical, chemical and biological components must be managed together. Carrying out product development and information activities with this long-term responsibility was described as a core part of Köseoğlu Akkükürt’s approach.
